How transits work in daily astrology
Learn what astrological transits are, how current planetary movements relate to a birth chart, and how to read them with perspective.

Your chart stays put. The sky moves.
Your natal chart records one moment in time. A transit is the current position of a planet compared with that fixed chart. In daily astrology, the question is not just which sign a planet is in today, but what it is contacting in your own chart.
The Moon changes sign every few days, while outer planets take years to travel through a sign. That creates a mix of brief moods and longer themes.
Aspects make the comparison meaningful
When a transiting planet forms a close angle to a natal planet, astrologers call it a transit aspect. A conjunction brings two placements together; a trine is traditionally read as flowing; a square as a point of tension or action; and an opposition as a balancing act between two poles.
The exactness and speed of the planet matter. A quick Moon transit may be useful for reflecting on a day, while a slower Saturn transit can describe a theme revisited over months.
Use transits as prompts, not predictions
A daily transit reading is most useful when it helps you pay attention: Where is energy available? What conversation deserves care? What needs time? It should support your agency, not replace it.
Personal transit readings become more relevant when they use your actual birth chart instead of a generic sun-sign forecast.
